Today was a great day!  I first went to the library.  I saw an exercise class of women dancing...similar to zumba.  They invited me to come on Friday.  Second, I went to my class at school and asked Greg (a student in my class) if he would be my male companion so I could go to the bank and supermarket.  Afterwards I was able to see my old tica mom and her daughter.  Her daughter Hazel has two kids.  When I lived with Doña Aida, Hazel only had one baby and now she is 11 years old!   I can not believe it.  After lunch I went with two other students to a fiesta for the fourth of July.  It was good to be with other Americans....but bad because we all spoke in English.  Afterwards, Tom walked me home and saw that Marco (the laywer)  has a guitar.  So him and Marco took turns playing the guitar and it was lovely.  Then after dinner I was finally able to call my parents.  What a relieve.  I have not been recieving E-mails from the US so it was good to finally talk to them...and we have now figured out a way to communicate by E-mail.  Praise God.

  1. I tried to send an email yesterday but I'm not sure if you got it or not. I sent it to your yahoo account. Is that one working? Mom's going to give us your address so we can send you a letter by mail. It's nice to hear your updates although I wish you had more freedom. It's sounds like things might be starting to change. Go get those men sister! Today I took mom with me and the kids to pick raspberries. I picked 18 pints! Plus five pounds of strawberries. I am going to be staging an intervention for myself later. Ok, we miss you and love you!!!! I'll try to post here more if it's the only place we can communicate. :) Talk to you soon.
