A MAcGyver coffee pot.

I don't have a coffee pot, but have a visitor who likes to drink coffee in the morning.  And apparently the instant coffee that I have saved over the years...might have lost some of it's spunk.  So this is what we came up with in order to have a 'freshly brewed' type of coffee feeling in the morning.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...but wait we haven't had Thanksgiving yet!

70 degree weather and Christmas lights!  Yeah!

Can't believe we didn't have a snow day.....I have been spoiled too long

Clearly I have proof that we should have at least a 2 hour late start!  I wonder how many of my students poured water on their driveway so they couldn't get out in the morning?

Hair accessories

I have an uncle that goes dumpster diving.  And one time he found three jewelery boxes of costume pieces.  I love looking at the fun treasures however there are twinges of guilt that I only wear some of these pieces when I dress up in costume.  So I decided to make them into hair accessories.

Some funny comments made in class...

I wish I could remember all the great comments that make me smile throughout my day.  I'm always asking for permission to put them on my blog and then I forget.  Yesterday I even wrote them on the board so I wouldn't forget and what do I do before I leave my classroom?.....erase the board.....sigh.

Here are the two I remember from yesterday:

1.

Male student:  "I went to the bathroom and the stall door was gone."

Me:  "The door is gone?"

Male student:  "It was off to the side, so I decided to play with it."

Me:  (Horrified)  "That is just gross."

2.

Me:  " In 2012, Iran tried to shoot down one of our drones near Kuwait.  Why is Kuwait important?"  (And then I moved my body to get the attention of some students)

Student:  "It is apart of Hawaii?"

We both laugh......

Student:  "It looked like you were Hula dancing so I thought you were giving me a hint."

We laughed again.

More work on my back yard...

Covered the plants....we got snow...but no snow day....still upset.....moving on.

Bleached my fence and it worked!

I don't think my cantulope plant is going to make it.

In the process of removing the old covered patio.

I also cut the tree branches that were hanging over my front yard roof.  They were hitting the gutters and keeping me awake at night.  I was a little nervous up on my roof but I think my neighbors were more nervous.  One neighbor saw me and asked if I wanted to borrow her extended limb cutter.  It was very nice of her!  Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures because I was in a rush to watch the Miss. St. vs. Alabama game.

Got to work on the porch last night....I ran out of sun so I only got the cover off.  I'm hoping to finish by Friday....weather permitting.

And now Dad to finish up with the rest of the frame!

I guess I will be the one to dig out the concrete that held the old posts.

I'm going to sell my favorite table.....

I have loved owning this special table.  I got it at a great price and have cherished knowing I am one of the few people to own a gynecological table.  I wish I had the history with the table.  All I know is that it was in a barn for numerous years.  And now it is time for me to sell this table so another owner can receive all it's wonderful gifts.

A fun trip to a lake house!

Had a great time with family while boat riding, watching football, enjoying nature, and eating!
First time eating Brussel sprouts.

Adding bacon for flavor.

Watching football....lots of Aggie fans in the house.

Getting an explanation about a play.

Fire for s'mores...a little windy

Had to hose down so the embers didn't cause mayhem.

First time my second cousin had s'mores.

Night fishing.
Boat Ride.

Very cold!!!

Loved the trees that were in the water.

Wanting to ring the bell.

My Aunt snuggling with her loves.

Sunset

Love the skull head.

Motherly love!

We found a cemetery.

The beautiful view.  The owl head turns...freaked me out during the night fishing.

In the sun and with the winter coat...it was quite pleasant.
Got the neighborhood tour on the golf cart.
