Spring Fairy House Scrap-booking Project Complete

This was a perfect project to get my mind off of being unemployed.  It kept my hands busy, my brain focused on problem solving, and creativity melting my anxiety away.  It has impressed the little ones which in turn brings more joy to my life than words can express.

Here are the little wing back chairs to go in front of the fire.

It was so hard to get light inside the house.  Here I have the first floor furniture done.

Dining table, wing back chairs, dinning hutch, chandelier, and washing station.

Cute little dishes found in the Dollhouse section at a craft store.

 The removable front.

When you turn it around it has a place for the scrap-book.

Standing in amazement.

A perfect house for little hands.

Second floor furniture completed with bed, vanity, rug, stool, night stand, and side light.  All furniture pieces are able to be maneuvered around the house.  As you can see the dinning table has been place on the roof patio.

Dad had a portable light to place in the fireplace.

The cute little gnome family hanging out by the pond.

Front door back in place with the mail box on one side and a little rocky brook on the other.

Imagination ignited.

Washing center...complete with some fairy dust.

Dinning room hutch.

I bought the pattern from the website of Laura Denison which also gives you free video support for the visual learners.  This is definitely a project to be enjoyed for many years.

A Day at a Surprise Swimming Hole!

I had the kiddos for a day and we decided that it was a good time to explore parks!  But first we stopped at their favorite fruit stand since their fruit bowl at home was empty.
We purchased some oranges, plums, apples, and strawberry cherries.

The first park we went to had a Secret Swimming Hole!  We decided that we were going to get the boat at home after we explored some more parks.

They just love free range nature!

We enjoyed the second park.  It had a car show and a nice bike trail.

My sobrina is practicing her 'Car Posing' stance.

So we went back home to get the boat and I realized how heavy the boat was, plus the fact that I was going to have to blow it up.....Plan A quickly changed to plan B....swimming.

Water was cold so they would go in and out of the water to warm up in the sun.

Rock building turned into....

Rock throwing.

And then Momma showed up in time to bring dinner!

Spring Fairy House is Coming Along Nicely!

Now I need to finish the furniture!

Father's Day Special Outing

This Father's Day we attempted to enjoy the outdoors.  Dad suggested we go to an outdoor eating Barbeque with Badminton, petting zoo, trails in the woods, and room for Frisbee.

Outdoor eating did have a down fall....A gust of wind came through and blew the umbrellas away!  One hit my mother but we got her some ice and I think she ended up having a nice time.

A goat up in the tree waiting to be fed.

They were so cute!
They also had chickens, pigs, horses and bunnies.

Mr. and Mrs. Farmer.

 The trail in the woods.

Here is to a great new tradition!

Tía Days

These are the days of summer.....throwing cares to the wind and the earthly terrain is our treasure chest.

First stop is Swimming Time.  Local pool, free, and a chance to enjoy some sun.
It is becoming a bit shallow for my sobrina but that doesn't stop her from experiencing the joys of water.
Swimming means building up a hunger....Momma provided some healthy snacks.

Next stop is the Library.  These kids could read for hours.  A nice cool and quiet activity after being in the pool.

We stopped for a quick bit to eat and then Berry Picking for dessert.  Raspberries were the option for that day so we got our row, buckets, and team-work action going on.

Some for Momma, Gramma, and our tummies.

Next stop....Grampa's House.  Some quick indoor activities to give our bodies some sun relief.  Here we are working on the Spring Fairy House.

And our last stop; Starbucks Spanish Hour.  This is where we only speak Spanish...or learn new Spanish words.

The Tía train is filled with nonstop activities.  Tía got to spend quality time with her family, Momma got her papers written, Grampa got to have some grandkids lovin', and mis sobrinos were entertained; my work for the day is complete!
