Dress Up Days!

Dress up days are the icing on my cake.  I love these days so I can see the smiles, shocked expressions, and hear the giggles when my students pass by me in the halls.

Crayon day:  I dressed up as copper.

Supper Hero:  I am Super Hero Barbie Fairy.

Profession Day:  Got to wear the comfortable Construction Worker outfit and stop kids in the hall.

Pajama Day:  I was looking forward to wearing my new warm pajamas all week since our winter got extended by 6 weeks.
Even got the rollers in so I could have curly hair the next day.

And curly it was!  'Lower back' length hair curled up to my shoulder.

My inspiration to be Fancy Nancy for Favorite Character Day next week.

Three more dress up days for the rest of the year!  Let's go ice some cakes.

Mi Sobrina's first quilt

So when I get a text to come over to help with a sewing project to make a blanket....there is joy in my heart, a pep in my step, and creative juices coming out of my pores!
Was thrilled to be able to help out on this AWANA project.  My niece needed to work on a pattern for her assignment.  And my first thought was quilt!

Next time I will double check that the pattern is correct before we sew the rows together.  I'm glad my niece was happy with the final project.  And not a bad two hour project for her first quilt/blanket.  When she first mentioned making a blanket I was thinking an actual human size blanket....glad she meant small blanket so the project could be completed in a short amount of time.

Alphabet Hair Clips

I have made Alphabet Hair Clips so my RTi kids have some thing fun to spell as they see the back of my head.

Made the vowels out of the blue chip board so they would stand out.  My head is only big enough for three letters.  I have made two 'S' hair clips but I'm thinking adding another 'P'.  The letters are so big it is hard for me to get them all on the back of my head.  I need more hair!
