Waterfall Hike #4

After the Lava Caves the guys went to their new camp site because they were going to climb this beautiful mountain/volcano the next day.  That left my sister, the kids and I to say goodbye to our friends and head off to our next destination:  free huckleberry picking or a scary suspended bridge.

The trip to the scary suspended bridge won and we were off for another exciting adventure.  And once again we come across a 'Danger' sign with two small kiddos...hummmmm

There was no waterfall jumping on this hike.

The hot lava created these interesting paths for the water.

There were a lot of interesting rock formations people were climbing on...

And there were some very slippery parts on the trail.

A lot of biting insects and tons of flies.

 Waterfalls around every corner.

Finally the suspended bridge...not quite as scary as the path that took us to this spot.
Mi sobrina wanted to play on the bridge.

Mi sobrino loved it so much he wanted to go back across.

Waterfalls from the bridge.

Hiking back to our car....more like rock climbing.
This sign made my sister and I laugh as we were heading home.
Made it in record time to meet dad for dinner.
