A Nonstop Weekend

Had some friends come to stay with me this weekend.  As soon as they had their stuff in their room we were off and running!

Friday:   There was a free museum showing.  We got to tour a historic house, listen to carolers, go to a petting zoo, have refreshments, play games, make an ornament,  and climb on trees.  All for free!!!!

I stayed up to listen to their conversation for a bit before heading to bed.  The girl asked her brother what he wanted to be when he grew up...his response was 'a street drag racer'.  The brother asked the same question his sister and she said that she wanted to be a teacher just like me........

 Sunday:  We went to church
I brought plenty of stuff for the kids to do and eat.
After church we dropped off presents at my Aunt's house, we picked up pictures and came home to make scrap books!  We also measured our heights!  They grew almost 3 inches from the last time they were at my house.

And time for them to go home........Until we meet again.

  1. I can't believe you recorded their heights. What an amazing way to make them feel valued. And her hair bow! And wanting to be a teacher. Only two visits and you've already had such an impact on them. Loved this whole post!
