Let's Fight Till the End

Our family has been rocked by some shocking news that my sister has stage three pancreatic cancer.  She has had pain since last October and so it's even more shocking that the doctors didn't didn't find anything with all the tests that have been administered on her for the past year.  So we wipe the tears, buy more kleenex and get through each day as it comes.  All the while trusting in the Solid Rock of the Gospel.

Spent the weekend between hospital, taking care of kids and soccer games.

Hoping a little pie will make me feel better.  Spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down?

And then we built a fort to get my mind off the devastating news, since the kids only knew the hospital was going to make mommy feel better.

My cat didn't really care for the tent.

The next day was filled with hiking, watching ducks, playground time, and a special movie.

And of course mi sobrinos are the the show stoppers at their soccer games!

So we all have our calendars synced.  Doctors have a game plan.  Prayers are bountiful.  And time spent with family never taken for granted.

God is good and I need to remember how blessed I am.

  1. Looking forward to hugging you all in a couple days. Rebekah says you've been such a great help.
