Quiero, necesito, tengo.....en mi clase de español

Cornell Notes to help each student.
Cornell Notes with fake food.
Por ejemplo:

 La profesora:  ¿Qué quieres?
El estudiante:  Yo quiero la pizza.
La profesora:  ¿Qué necesitas?
El estudiante:  Necesito el jugo de naranja.
La profesora:  ¿Qué tienes?
El estudiante:  Tengo las papas fritas.

They can use the Cornell Notes to understand and answer the question in Spanish.  The food gives them a visual or something to manipulate in their hands to remember.  And it works!  I wouldn't share my cookies with anyone because they were my favorite.  The class made a big deal; saying in (Spanish) they didn't have (no tenían) the cookies, they wanted (querían) the cookies, but Miss........ needed (necesario) the cookies.

The following week a student couldn't remember the English translation for "las Galletas".  I told him that "Las Galletas son la comida favorita de Señorita ........".....he thought...said "AAAAA"....laughed....and wrote down 'cookies' on the test.
