Sobrina telling a story

One of my favorite things to do with my sobrina is telling each other stories. Here we were hanging out so I decided to record one of her stories.

Sunday School with 4's and 5 year olds

Today a little girl in my class said she didn't have a TV because it "kills your brain cells." To which another girl said " I've got a TV".

First girl's response, "That's too bad" in her 'I'm 30' year old voice.

A tea party for a princess

So, my wonderful sister found this great place that serves tea and 'the girls' went over Christmas break.
We had sobrina, AKA: Sleeping Beauty
sister, AKA: Bell
Me, AKA: Cinderella
and Mom, AKA: Pocahontas.......................................what?

And we talked about what we were going to wear at the ball on Wednesday, to which mom replied: Well, I guess I'll have to dry clean my buckskin, off the shoulder dress..........................pee your pants moment.

Luckily we didn't pee our pants....since that would not be good manners at a princess tea party.

Opps! Forgot that I took these pictures

Thanksgiving my cousins brought their Rock Band video game. We had a fun time getting together and rocking the night away.

Lovely students

Today and boy asked me what 'manifest' meant. I told him that it meant 'to show'. He said, " Wow! Miss........... you're like a walking dictionary! Your amazing!"

Little does he comprehend that I have taught this class for three years and I teach it four times a year!

Still......being called 'amazing' never gets old.

Ave L. neighbor's brick barbecue

We also knew the house was correct on Ave L. because their neighbors still had the brick barbecue in their back yard. Though it looks run down a bit.

Dad's house on Ave. L

2) Even though the front posts are now metal, Dad knew this was the house because the window on the front door matches the one on the black and white photo.
2) Here is the water main hole that is located on the second black and white picture.
1) Here you can tell that there isn't a garage anymore. But there is a driveway-therefore we can conclude from the black and white picture that they have converted the drive-way to make the house bigger.
The man that owns the house now told us this house never had a garage. We looked at our picture and asked him....."Then why is there a drive-way?"

A man came to our car while we were trying to find this house. He asked us what we were doing. When we told him he asked for my Dad's name. When Dad said, Jim........, the neighbor remembered Dad's family. He told us that Dad's house was the last one on the block, he went there for parties all the time, and those were great days!
