Making biscuit for the first time.....so much fun

I got too excited about kneading the dough and working the material in my hands.  I felt like I was manipulating materials from God's earth and making food that would add comfort to my life.  So, this batch did not turn out very fluffy, soft, or airy.

With the second batch, the excitement had worn off and I was ready to make a Texan biscuit.

Second batch......Much better!
