The first waterfall was right off the old highway. Fun to get ready for the hike with the beautiful sights and sounds of a waterfall in the background.
Then we were on our way...We came to the second waterfall where you could walk behind and get several camera angles....Some of us took an added adventure and walked down the towards the bottom of the waterfall.
We continued our hike to the third waterfall that was next to the bridge. The bridge had some damage to it so we could only cross one person at a time.
Next we came to a cross road with two very tired children. So, I asked some hikers how much further to the last waterfall. They said only about 30 minutes and it was a flat hike......I found out that their idea of a 'flat hike' is nothing like mine.
We thought about turning back but then next group said it was worth continuing on. Needless to say no other group had a 7 and 4 year old with them...but we made it.
Going back down was much faster....and that was a good thing because we were all ready for dinner and a massage.
Waiting for el esposo de mi hermanita to come pick us up. |
